Unveiling the Jumbo Ginger Quail

at Ellen J Farm

The Ginger mutation is an exciting new color gene discovered by Michael Rose from Southwest Gamebird. Our foundation stock for the Ginger quail was generously shared with us by Thieving Otter Farm.

We have been very pleased with these remarkable quail. Although we have three other varieties of Coturnix Quail, the Gingers stand out for their size, laying capabilities, and docile temperament.

This collection features a variety of stunning pattern combinations, including Ginger Wildtype, Fawn Ginger, Sparkly Ginger, Ginger EB, and Ginger Fee.

Bird Size: Jumbo

Egg Size: Large

Feather Sexable: Some varieties in this collection are feather sexable, while others require vent sexing.

Breeds True: This line breeds true for color but not for pattern. You can expect a variety of patterns, all in the beautiful Ginger coloration.
